Usage advice
- Make certain the blade is suitable for the material before cutting.
- Guide the blade straight into the material without unnecessary pressure.
- Follow the blade and machine manufacturer's instructions for feed pressure, cutting technique and wet or dry use.
- If cutting speed reduces, dress the diamond rim by making several passes through a suitable highly abrasive dressing material, following the manufacturer's guidance.
Standard
The supplied product specification lists EN13236, the European standard covering safety requirements for superabrasive diamond products.
Image note: For Porcelain and hard tiles, differing segment compounds and designs work better for various applications and tools. Each blade offered here is with the optimum segment style for the listed Tool and speed used! The main photograph shows the 250mm DP16845 blade. Blade appearance and rim design vary by size, including the conventional continuous-rim 300mm and 350mm versions.
Shape and finish exposed tile edges
After cutting your tiles to size, create a rounded full bullnose edge on suitable tile and stone up to 20mm thick with the Premier Diamond P5-VBBN Full Bullnose Cutter, for use with a compatible M14 angle grinder.
Then smooth and finish the created 20mm full bullnose profile with the Premier Diamond P5-TPPBN Bullnose Polishing Pads, working from 120 grit to 400 grit. Blade, cutter and pads are sold separately.
